IT Specialist



Key Responsibilities:

Identifies client requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Collects data by identifying sources of information; designing survey and collection methods. Organizes information by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data.
Develops the program code; establishes instructions through manipulation of software; assembling and testing the hardware and software components. Educates and trains the user about the systems function and how to use hardware and software.
Resolves retrieval problems by altering design to meet requirements.
Assists in the planning, research, purchasing and installation of IT systems and products (hardware/software deployment).
Analyses functional and performance issues, offering solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
Maintains historical records by documenting system changes and revisions. Maintains database by entering data.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Assists with research, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and/or packaged software.
Other duties as designated.


Qualification Required:

Bachelor's Degree is essential.
Knowledge of essential network services, including DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.

Experience Required:

3+ years of professional experience in IT Operations, including 1 year of experience with Linux workstation endpoint administration, is a must.
Experience with more than one Operating System platform is desirable.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose network problems and maintain network security.
